What is the current main road block for recursive self improvement in Artificial Intelligence?
Im a complete novice in the AI world, but have recently started taking steps in learning more about it. Im a .NET developer, but I understand right now I probably should take roads into learning Python and R for machine learning. Ive also been directed toward Spark for data storage, so that means Scala too.
I am also looking into getting a 1080 TI soon so I can roll up my own neural net and do some projects.
I see things like Horizon Zero Dawn and or read books like We are Legion (We are Bob) other interesting AI concepts, and Im just curious what the main road blocks are for a self improving subroutine in AI?
Currently I am working with a friend on a project, and without going into great detail, its a high level programming language for a game that sits on top of C# that has the potential to reprogram how the lower level C# works using the higher level language, which makes it semi recursive. So Im wondering why this particular methodology cant be applied the same way based on data extrapolated from something like deep learning?
