Manufacturing Pmi in Hungary increased to 62.50 in May from 55.90 in April of 2017. Manufacturing Pmi in Hungary averaged 52.33 from 1995 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 62.50 in May of 2017 and a record low of 37.63 in January of 2009. In Hungary, the HALPIM (Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management) Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index measures the performance of the manufacturing sector and is derived from a survey of executive managers in charge of purchasing at manufacturing enterprises. The Index is based on five individual indexes with the following weights: New Orders (30 percent), Production (25 percent), Employment (20 percent), Suppliers’ Delivery Times (15 percent) and Inventories (10 percent). A reading above 50 indicates an expansion of the manufacturing sector compared to the previous month; below 50 represents a contraction; while 50 indicates no change.
