Ariana Grande’s Emotional ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ Performance Had Us In Tears
Ariana Grande broke down in tears while closing out the One Love Manchester benefit concert Sunday night with a stunning performance of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.”
The singer, who also performed a number of times throughout the show, began the final performance by first singing her song “One Last Time.” All the artists who participated in the show stood onstage with Grande, projecting a strong message of solidarity.
As she sang, Grande held her mic out to the crowd and they sang along to every word.

In what may have been the most powerful moment of the show, Grande performed “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” alone onstage. The stunning performance had many in the crowd in tears.
Grande herself was also overcome with emotion, breaking down before finishing the song. The crowd then erupted into cheers and the singer managed to get through the final bit beautifully.
Proceeds from the One Love Manchester benefit will go toward the victims and families affected by the tragic attack that took place at Manchester Arena last month during one of Grande’s concerts. A bomb was detonated at the arena, killing 22 people, including children, and injuring at least 59 others.
Following the attack, Grande said she was left feeling “broken.”
“My heart, prayers and deepest condolences are with the victims of the Manchester Attack and their loved ones,” Grande later wrote in a statement. “There is nothing I or anyone can do to take away the pain you are feeling or to make this better.”
She added, “The only thing we can do now is choose how we let this affect us and how we live our lives from here on out.”
The benefit concert also took place just one night after terror struck in the U.K. once again. A vehicle plowed into a crowd of pedestrians on London Bridge, killing seven and injuring 50 more. The benefit seemed to take on an even more powerful meaning following the London attack, with the stars sharing uplifting messages in solidarity with both U.K. cities.

With a record-breaking opening weekend and stellar reviews, Wonder Woman is certainly having a moment. And while some men nationwide are having temper tantrums about women-only screenings of the female-led film, other men are totally aware of how fantastic the film, and its leading lady, really are. So, who’s the newest dude to hop on the Wonder Woman train? None other than the one who plays Marvel Comics’ Thor, Chris Hemsworth.
Wonder Woman’s lead actress Gal Gadot paid a visit to Katie Couric, and used the opportunity to call out Hemsworth and ask him if he thinks her Wonder Woman would win a fight against his Thor. (Check it out in the video below.)

Pigs Are Flying And Piers Morgan Actually Apologized To Ariana Grande
Pigs are flying, the temperatures in hell are subzero, and Piers Morgan actually admitted he was wrong. Literally anything can happen in 2017, folks.
After a terror attack at Ariana Grande’s Manchester concert claimed the lives of 22 people in May, the British TV presenter did as he is wont to do, i.e. stuck his foot in his mouth on social media. Instead of showing *gulp* actual human empathy, Morgan criticized the pop star for not visiting the victims in the hospital and flying home to be with family.
Of course, Grande not only returned to the city to surprise and sit with her injured fans, but she also hosted the benefit concert One Love Manchester, which raised over $3 million dollars for British Red Cross’ Manchester Emergency Fund.
The 23-year-old, along with a slate of performers, including Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Coldplay, took the stage with a message of love and unity a day after another attack in the heart of London.
“I thought Ariana Grande was wrong to fly off after #ManchesterAttack. But tonight she’s putting on a fabulous show,” Morgan wrote on Sunday.
“I misjudged you & I apologise. You’re an admirable young woman & this is a magnificent night. Respect,” he added in another tweet, alongside a photo of Grande embracing a choir girl who performed with her at the show.

Katy Perry Wore Photos Of Manchester Bombing Victims On Her Dress
Katy Perry honored victims of the Manchester terror attack in song and on her sleeve.
She gave them a special salute Sunday while performing at One Love Manchester, the benefit concert organized after the May 22 suicide bombing that killed 22 people and injured at least 59 after an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena.
The “Chained to the Rhythm” singer sang a few of her most iconic songs while wearing a white mini-dress over a turtleneck printed with photos of the victims.
Days before the event, which also featured Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Oasis’ Liam Gallagher, among others, Perry wrote she was “humbled to be a part” of the event. It ultimately raised over $3 million for the British Red Cross.

7 Key Strategies Will Assure Company Sustainability
The challenge is to retain the same sense of urgency, energy, commitment, and readiness in a mature company that you felt during the startup stage. The importance and reality of this need has been detailed well in a new book I just finished, “State of Readiness,” by Joseph F. Paris, Jr. He is a recognized thought leader on the subject of operational excellence and strategy.
He and I are both are strong believers that the keys to sustainable success start with building a solid business platform initially, with a strong support structure for scalability, sustainability, and long-term leadership. The proper support structure can only be built if you commit to and implement his following strategy elements:

Learn from the past, build for the future. New and existing companies today need to press beyond what was, through what is, to what will be. Most importantly, this is not just in the products and services you offer, but in the way your company operates. You must proactively improve your business processes, even if they seem to be working today.

Create and cultivate a leadership culture. Leaders in business these days are leaders because people are willing to follow. You can tell the capability of a leader by the caliber of their followers. The best leaders are mentors to their team, and they are stewards of a company’s assets and vision. They build trust, integrity, and respect from everyone.

Communicate the vision, then execute. People will follow only if they know where they are going. Connect the dots to the vision to gain alignment and commitment. Set a course for the destination, but also establish intermediate checkpoints to assess progress along the way. Adjust as prudent and necessary, communicating all the way.

Set-up for success and don’t set-up for failure. Delegate with accountability and responsibility, and keep your focus on the future. Let those to whom you delegate do their job, without micromanaging. Your task is follow-up in support, mentoring, and setting goals. Establish processes, incent innovation, and monitor progress along the way.

Make innovation the requisite for long-term viability. Maintaining the velocity and flexibility to keep up with the market and competitors is a requirement for survival. Your team culture needs to expect failed attempts, but never a fear of failure, only of not trying. Fail quick, fail small, learn, and move on. Change should be expected as the norm.

Construct a program for rebuilding capability. Continually redefine what success looks like into the future. Then you need to identify the talent, skills, and resources your company will need to succeed, as well as when and where they will be needed. Work hard at finding and filling the gaps. Hire and retain the best, and build the rest.

Prepare for sustainability in the long haul. The journey will be long and difficult, so prepare accordingly. Build rock-solid processes first, then increase the through-put and accuracy by introducing the right technologies where it makes sense. Capture your own best practices and replicate them across your company. Constantly strengthen the team.
We can all name companies that started strong, but didn’t scale well, or let complacency drive them off the map. Examples include Webvan, Research in Motion (Blackberry), and Tandy (Radio Shack). To this list, we can add the countless family-owned businesses that could not survive the transition to the next generation. Beware of any sense of entitlement to continuing success.
For scaling and long-term success, every company today needs these strategies for operational excellence, to follow an innovative new startup effort, driven by a passionate and committed entrepreneur. It’s never too late to get started, but it gets harder the longer you wait. Don’t wait until your company is spinning out of control.

Bumble Bee will plead guilty for fixing canned-tuna prices
You may have paid more than necessary for canned fish at some point in the last few years.
Bumble Bee has agreed to plead guilty for its involvement in fixing shelf-stable tuna fish, the Department of Justice said in a statement on Monday.
Bumble Bee conspired with other companies to “fix, raise, and maintain prices of packaged seafood,” the DoJ alleged in its charge.
The DoJ said the price-fixing took place from around the first quarter of 2011 through at least the fourth quarter of 2013. It was unaware of the exact timing.
Bumble Bee has agreed to pay a $25 million criminal fine that could be increased to as much as $81.5 million if the company is sold, subject to some terms and conditions.
Andrew Finch, the acting assistant attorney general in the DOJ’s antitrust division, said the charge is the third to be filed in an ongoing investigation into price fixing among the largest suppliers of packaged seafood.
This comes after a former Bumble Bee executive was placed on special leave after court documents showed he had agreed to fix packaged-seafood prices. Walter Scott Cameron, the former senior vice president of sales, talked to representatives of other major packaged seafood producers about fixing prices, CNN reported.
Bumble Bee did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
