Lloyd Blankfein is fond of saying Goldman Sachs Group Inc. is a technology company at heart. Now its CEO is on the social media platform Twitter.
Mr. Blankfein sent his first tweet Thursday evening, using the occasion to criticize President Donald Trump’s decision to pull the U.S. out of the Paris climate agreement.

Mr. Blankfein, a Democrat, has been critical of other of Mr. Trump’s policies, including its controversial travel ban.
A spokesman confirmed the account is real, and said Mr. Blankfein had been toying with the idea of joining the service.
Mr. Blankfein, who carries both an iPhone and a BlackBerry, garnered about 500 followers in the first half-hour after his tweet.
