Lower oil prices and corruption scandals surrounding several projects have slowed the expansion of oil and gas transport infrastructure in Latin America in recent years. Ambitious initiatives such as Peru’s Sur Peruano Gas Pipeline (GSP), the Oleoducto al PacĂfico (OAP) in Colombia and Argentina’s Gasoducto del Noroeste Argentino (GNEA) are emblematic examples of such delays – or stalled projects – throughout the region.
