The UK cyber security market is thriving, with many companies announcing rapid revenue growth reflecting the huge growth in demand for their services. UK-based Darktrace, for example, founded in 2013 is the world leader in its innovative Enterprise Immune System and had a 600% growth in revenue over the 2016 fiscal year. Their systems have so far detected 30,000 in-progress cyber threats across 2400 deployments worldwide. $65m has been secured from investors and the firm is now valued at over $400m. The technology used is self-learning and is thereby effective in defending against evolving threats that can evade static systems.
