Apple shares are slightly down ahead of its yearly developer conference.

The company’s World Wide Developer Conference should be rather news-worthy. The company is expected to announce a major update to its iOS software, and there is potential for a new Siri-based competitor to Amazon and Google’s smart speakers.

Shares of Apple have been down as much as 1.2% in the hours leading up to the conference. They are currently down about 1%.

The conference keynote is set to begin at 1 p.m. EST. Read more about what to expect from the conference here.
