The future of Wall Street and the investment and trading world are algorithms. These algorithms are filled with calculations and formulas to determine when to buy, hold, and sell a security. Quantitative analysts are taking over Wall Street with their high frequency trading programs that trade millions of shares a day, the decisions being made by the computer with speeds impossible to humans.
