The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in Sweden expanded 0.40 percent in the first quarter of 2017 over the previous quarter. GDP Growth Rate in Sweden averaged 0.56 percent from 1981 until 2017, reaching an all time high of 2.50 percent in the first quarter of 1984 and a record low of -3.70 percent in the fourth quarter of 2008. On the expenditure side, household consumption is the main component of Swedish GDP and accounts for 46 percent of its total use, followed by government consumption (26 percent) and gross fixed capital formation (23 percent). Exports of goods and services account for 45 percent of GDP while imports account for 41 percent, adding 4 percent of total GDP.
