An acquisition company affiliated with Blackstone Group L.P. and Fidelity National Financial said Wednesday it reached a deal to buy life insurance provider Fidelity & Guaranty Life in an all-cash deal worth about $1.84 billion. Fidelity & Guaranty Life shares rose 6.27% to $30.50 premarket.
Tiffany saw comparable-store sales fall 3% during its first quarter, below the 1.9% growth expected by analysts surveyed by Factset. Shares fell 6.32% to $87.25 premarket.
Intuit raised its profit and revenue outlook for the year. Shares rose 8.63% to $140.30 premarket.
Bank of Montrealid loan and deposit growth in the U.S. moderated in its latest quarter on slower-than-anticipated business activity.
Shares of Bunge lost 4.7% premarket, pulling back from a 17% rally Tuesday that had been fueled by news that Glencore had approached the grain trader about a potential takeover.
Nvidia was up 1.7% ahead of the bell on reports that Japan’s SoftBank has amassed a $4 billion stake in the chip maker.
Advance Auto Parts has dropped 4.7% to $134.10 after the auto-part retailer missed earnings and sales forecasts.
DSW has climbed 5.5% to $17.10 after getting upgraded to Neutral from Negative at Susquehanna.
