While the precise nature of Nicki Minaj and Drake’s relationship remains uncertain, the pair cozied up together at the Billboard Music Awards ― until he got onstage with host Vanessa Hudgens.
Accepting an award for Top 200 Billboard Artist, the rapper became thoughtful, saying, “It’s crazy that we’re all here on Earth for a limited amount of time, and we gotta show love while we’re here.”
“I want to say, Vanessa Hudgens, you look incredible tonight,” he added, complimenting the actress who hosted the evening with rapper Ludacris.
Thankfully, a camera was already trained on Minaj, who was promptly seen shouting an indignant reply: “What about me?!”
Minaj was, in fact, looking rather nice in a long, silver cutout gown, after her opening act alongside Lil Wayne, David Guetta and Jason Derulo at the Las Vegas event.
But Drake had some nice things to say onstage about his collaborator Minaj, too.
“I want to say, Nicki Minaj, I’m so glad we found our way back because I love you and I could never, ever see it any other way.”
