Spain's manufacturing sector growth eased for the second straight month in March, survey data from IHS Markit showed Monday.
The headline manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index fell to 53.9 in March from 54.8 in February. A reading above 50 indicates expansion.
Although still signaling a solid monthly improvement in the health of the sector, the latest strengthening of business conditions was the weakest since last October.
The survey showed that there were further signs of a slowdown as output, new orders and employment all rose at weaker rates.
Nonetheless, there was a pick-up in inflationary pressures, with input costs increasing to the greatest extent since April 2011. At the same time, the latest rise in output charges was the second-fastest since April 2011.
