Should board members get email addresses?

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J

My company is taking on external (non-employee) board members for the first time. These board members will be investing in the company and receiving equity.

Should they get a company email address? The rationale behind the ask is that they will be added to our Slack and confidential company information will be shared with them (via Google Docs and email).

I wasn’t sure what was typical — do most companies have board members use their person email addresses for this, or do they assign them a company email?
