How do I turn a decent profit while also paying my workers at least minimum wage?

http://ift.tt/eA8V8J

I own an on demand service and I’m struggling with finding out how to pay myself and my drivers. Right now my delivery fee is $4.99 + 8% + $0.50 per mile between the store and the customer. The avg delivery fee is $8.09, there portion on avg is $6.88 (85%) plus the avg tip of $2 so they make about $8.88 per delivery, I also supplement what they make so they make a minimum of $9 per delivery including the tip, so I take a small loss there

My portion is $1.21. However after credit card processing fees it falls to $0.40 per delivery for me. And after paying my driver the extra few cents so they can earn $9 per delivery my portion is about $0.28

I was thinking that I could charge local businesses a commotion per delivery I get them and that could help but about half of my orders are from franchises like McDonald and five guys and chipotle etc

How do I change my prices so my drivers make at least $7 per delivery (with the avg tip of $2 that’s $9 per delivery) while also allowing me to make a decent sum while also not over charging the customer. Remember about half of my orders come from big names places so partnering up with local businesses won’t solve my problem
