Fitch retained the sovereign ratings of Norway and Switzerland at triple A late Friday.
The agency said Norway's 'AAA' rating with 'stable' outlook reflects the sovereign's strong balance sheet, current account surpluses and large net external creditor position.
The ratings also suggest country's high performance on human development and governance indicators, and very high income per capita metrics.
Similarly, Switzerland's 'AAA' rating indicates track record of prudent economic and fiscal policies, a diversified and wealthy economy and high levels of human development. Switzerland surpasses its 'AAA' peers on most key indicators, Fitch said.
The 'stable' outlook reflects Fitch's assessment that the downside risks to the Switzerland's 'AAA' rating are currently not material.
