Hi there, I posted in /r/freelancers but could also really use advice if you guys have some.
I’ve been working on setting up a Social Media Consulting business and was not expecting customers just yet. I suppose it’s poor planning to not have registered yet, but now I need to quick.
I’m in NY state, I’m sure that matters. I want to just register as a sole proprietor at for now but looking it up quick didn’t turn up much. Most of what I read was talking about Assumed Name but that’s if you’re going by anything aside from your name, which I’m not.
Any help on this would be really appreciated, especially if there’s a way to do the process (relatively) quick.
