The Haas Formula 1 racing team and Almac Group are each winners of 2017 British Consul General Awards. The awards are presented each year by the British American Business Council Charlotte and Jeremy Pilmore-Bedford, British consul general, who is based in Atlanta. Haas F1, which has some executives and operations in Kannapolis, was honored as an American firm doing business in Britain.
