Boeing scores $2 billion deal for 17 P-8A Poseidon sub-hunter jets with U.S., Australia and the U.K

Boeing said it won a $2.2 billion contract to produce 17 P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol and surveillance aircraft for the U.S. Navy, the Royal Australian Air Force and the United Kingdom Royal Air Force. Chicago-based Boeing makes the aircraft at a special military manufacturing facility in Renton. The contract was awarded March 30, Boeing (NYSE: BA) said in a news release Monday.
