Tesla Inc., the electric car company founded 14 years ago by CEO Elon Musk, drove past 114-year-old Ford Motor Co. on Monday as the second-most valuable car company in the U.S. Tesla’s stock popped 7 percent to $298.54 just before the market closed on Monday, boosting its market capitalization to $48 billion.
