Our friends at Imgur wrote up a great post on how to opt out of the ads from ISPs in mist of our data being sold by ISPs for Profit

As you've probably heard by now, Congress has passed a bill canceling FCC restrictions, allowing for your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to sell your own personal data to companies for advertising purposes. Now, I'm sure you've seen the posts in the past few days urging you to call your local congressperson, but I'm here today to focus on what you should be doing RIGHT NOW in order to protect yourself and your privacy.

All ISP's are required to allow users to opt out of the sale of their Consumer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI), and that is what I've come to help with today. Below, you'll find links to many major ISP'S opt out forms, but if yours isn't listed, simply search " CPNI opt out".

And remember, if this sale of your privacy makes you mad, check who your congressperson voted for, and vote out your congressperson in 2018!

Make sure you disable your ad blocker to do this or it won't work (i know the irony)

Also A Redditor set up a website allowing you to vote for whose internet history will be bought first. http://ift.tt/2oeWm6X
